About Me

Margaret R. Zotkiewicz

Margaret is a graduate of the University of Dayton and the Institute of Children’s Literature. As a professional in the field of developmental disabilities, Margaret has over 30 years’ experience working with children and adults. Currently, Margaret is Community Work Incentives Counselor in Toledo, Ohio.

Margaret’s articles and short stories have been published in “Skipping Stones.org”, “Guardian-Angel-Kids”, “Spaceports and Spidersilk”, “Cadet Quest”, “White Cat”, and “Primary Treasure”. 

She contributed the chapter “Polka Bands, Clap Your Hands!” to the University of Toledo’s Book American Originals.

Margaret is a member of Julie Foster Hedlund’s 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Northern Ohio chapter. 

In her non-writing free time, Margaret enjoys reading, following the local rock and roll music scene, polka dancing, and trying to keep ahead of her ‘to watch’ streaming list.
