November Mornings

The end of Daylight Savings Time happened last weekend. It always take me several days and nights before my body (and sleep schedule) return to normal. In a good-news bad-news way, I’m happy that the sun is shining on my morning commute, and not so happy when it feels like 6 p.m. is 9 p.m.

I came up with a new schedule for these dark-too-soon evenings and I find that going to bed earlier can be a good thing. If I could, I’d stay up until 1 a.m. and sleep until 9 a.m. every day, not realistic for a nine-to-fiver. Going down early means I’m getting a bit more sleep than usual. It’s too soon to tell if I’ll begin to awaken earlier. That might be a good thing for my writing habits. Stay tuned.
