I participated in what was possibly one of best webinars on writing last week. Lisa Stringfellow discussed building an author website on the 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge. So much to learn and do!

Margaret is a graduate of the University of Dayton and the Institute of Children’s Literature. As a professional in the field of developmental disabilities, Margaret has over 30 years' experience working with children and adults. Currently, Margaret is Community Work Incentives Counselor in Toledo, Ohio. Her articles and short stories have been published in “Skipping Stones.org”, “Guardian-Angel-Kids”, “Spaceports and Spidersilk”, “Cadet Quest”, “White Cat”, and “Primary Treasure”.  She contributed the chapter "Polka Bands, Clap Your Hands!" to the University of Toledo's Book American Originals. Margaret is a member of Julie Foster Hedlund’s 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Northern Ohio chapter.  Her poem "My Animal Ball" won 5th place in the 2024 Institute of Children's Literature Rhyming Animal Poetry Contest. In December 2024, her Holiday Mystery Story "A Thousand Stars" garnered an Honorable Mention in Susanna Leonard Hill's Holiday Mystery Contest. In her non-writing free time, Margaret enjoys reading, creating things with her hands, following the burgeoning Toledo music scene, and traveling with her family
